Everyone likes to see a clean, well groomed, and neat appearing person. Employee clothes are clean so that they are not offensive to the customer or to co-workers. Hair will not longer than collar length.

Uniforms will be provided and will be worn while employees are working. Appearance of the midway is important as well. There is a combined effort to keep the midway clean. Employees are responsible for keeping trash picked up around rides and concessions.

There will be trash receptacles placed around the midway for employee use. Last, but most importantly, we will provide a safe place for our customers' enjoyment. Employees are careful when they are operating machinery. We always operate rides and concessions in an alert and safe manner. We always prevent any unnecessary risks which might result in an accident by reporting any problems immediately. Employees coming to work under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted. Drinking alcoholic beverages or using drugs while on duty are grounds for termination. Smoking while operating rides is not allowed. Drug testing is done at random, and without notice.

DAVIS AMUSEMENT CASCADIA is proud to be a partner with the fair and the community in providing a well-staffed, highly maintained carnival. The fairgoers will feel right at home when they see familiar faces working at the carnival. Some fairs require added workers which could amount to upwards of 15% of our operating staff.

All new employees are put through a safety workshop and are familiarized with key personnel and procedures. A supervisor walks the new employee through the manufacturer's ride operator manual.

Most of the 15% extra help would be used in the capacity of game attendant, food handler, or ticket taker. These people would go through a similar learning process geared to each area of work.

DAVIS AMUSEMENT CASCADIA pays traveling workers a weekly wage based upon experience and job demands. Temporary or casual workers are hired and paid at state minimum wage. Game people are paid on a percentage of gross basis or sometimes temporary game help is paid by the hour. DAVIS AMUSEMENT CASCADIA makes every effort to hire the most qualified and responsible workers available. Before hiring, office staff will go over the application and make every attempt to verify information and will attemmpt to call a minimum of two references.

DAVIS AMUSEMENT CASCADIA is very particular about the way their personnel dress. You'll be able to spot our ride operators by their special uniforms - shirts, black pants (No scruffy blue jeans) and colorful caps with the company logo. All of them are professionals, and work directly for DAVIS AMUSEMENT CASCADIA. Windbreakers are furnished if cold, with the logo on them.

DAVIS AMUSEMENT CASCADIA concession personnel will have clean uniform shirt, black pants and colorful caps with the company logo. Windbreakers are provided when needed.

Hair will be no longer than collar length, and facial hair will be neatly trimmed or none at all. A laundry and shower facility is standard equipment for "behind the scenes" use by carnival employees.
